Point of Care Ultrasound
Hosted by Dr. Gabriel Altit and Dr. Lauren Ruoss
The upcoming Delphi 2024 conference on neonatal innovation features an immersive point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) workshop designed to enhance participants' skills in critical diagnostic techniques.
This highly interactive one-hour workshop will consist of two stations focusing on cardiac POCUS and the crashing baby.
Each station will accommodate 5-6 participants, allowing for hands-on practice and personalized instruction. The workshop will be conducted in three one-hour sessions throughout the day, with an open hour for participants to revisit stations and ask specific questions. Participants will have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment, including GE Venue GO machines, simulators, and portable screens.
By the end of the workshop, participants will have gained valuable experience in recognizing and interpreting critical POCUS findings, empowering them to integrate these skills into their clinical practice and enhance the quality of care for neonatal patients.
Reflective Writing Workshop
Hosted by Dr. Rachel Fleishman
Our Reflective Writing Workshop is an introduction to reflective practice. This immersive session includes guided reflective writing exercises tailored to neonatal care, encouraging participants to explore and articulate their experiences with their work in the NICU.
By fostering introspection and sharing insights, the workshop aims to improve emotional intelligence, communication skills, and overall patient care. This workshop provides practical tools for integrating reflective writing into daily routines, ultimately enriching the neonatal care experience for both professionals and families. Trivia Competition

This year at the Delphi Neonatal Innovation Conference, we're excited to introduce a brand-new event—Neonatal Brainiacs. Scheduled for Wednesday, September 25th, this trivia competition invites fellows from neonatal fellowship programs across the country to showcase their knowledge and engage in a friendly battle of wits. Neonatal Brainiacs is a fun and educational way to connect with peers and highlight the expertise within the neonatology community.
Produced in collaboration with TECAN and supported by the Incubator and Neonatology Review podcast, this event promises an entertaining and intellectually stimulating experience. Teams will compete in various neonatology-themed categories, testing their knowledge and quick thinking. The stakes are high, with the winning team awarded the prestigious Brodsky and Martin Grant Award, valued at $2,500. This grant will support educational programs at the victorious fellowship program. Additionally, books will be awarded to the second-place team, adding to the incentives.
